We boarded the Chicago Brew Bus from Beer Bistro North to attend this event.
The invasion was the idea of Beer House Chicago Marketing Director – Vikki Reid. 25 of the 60 available drafts lines were occupied by Chicagoland breweries. There was an all-female band playing above the bar and the place was packed, but it was relatively easy to get brews. It was quite the scene, most, if not all of the local breweries on tap were in attendance for this Thursday night soiree. They’ve got something special on their hands out in Lombard, IL. I was pleasantly surprised when Brew Bus pulled up to an outdoor mall! The Yorktown Shopping Center is already a premier destination for dining in DuPage County. Beer House encourages you to bring in food from one of the 17 neighboring restaurants while they provide the beer. My night ended somewhere around 2am after this thing. Coolest part about the trip was getting familiar with some of the newer faces in the constantly evolving Chicago craft beer scene.
