Powell & Mahoney’s Bloody Mary Mix and Revolution’s Oktoberfest. A winning Sunday combo

CBG Nik here!  This is our first ever post about beer cocktails that we enjoy from time to time. On weekends after I crush it as host of the notorious Chicago Brew Bus for 8hrs and 2 sold-out tours, I usually don’t want another beer. Postgame for me includes a Manhattan and arcade games.

Sundays are a different story, the pregame activities include Bloody Marys with Powell & Mahoney vintage original cocktail mix. The all-natural recipe dates back to 1926. The ingredients list includes distilled apple cider vinegar, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, allspice, tamarind, molasses, lemon extract, and sea salt just to name a few. It’s a balanced combination that creates a complex experience for your brunch or tailgating adventures. If you’re like us you wont shy away from substituting bourbon for vodka in your Bloodys. Either way check out our take on this classic. Powell & Mahoney can be found at your local Whole Foods. They produce a variety of flavors including Mojito and Old Ballycastle Ginger.

Pint Glass filled with ice less that 8 hrs old…don’t bruise the ice, bro.

2 parts bloody
2 parts Oktoberfest

5 Rabbit Cerveceria’s Vida y Muerte and this bloody mix are a nice base for a Michaela as well.
