Pho No. 1 Brewing

7958 W. Belmont Ave. Dunning, Chicago

Really not sure what the hell os going on here. But there’s a pho restaurant on the far Northwest Side of the city that has no less than eight house beers on draft at Pho No 1. Brewing. Just when you think you’ve exhausted all this town has to offer, a simple “breweries near me” google search alters four perception.

Actually never had pho, our closest dance was the Spiced Vietnamese Porter from Marz- What The Pho (circa 2015)

This space is bright and colorful, the extensive soup menu is the real deal. Everything from the Crab Rangoon to the Vietnamese Coffee to close out the night was on point.

Huge Fan Of This Filet Mignon Beef Noodle Soup

The biggest surprise was the Light Viet Lager. All the beers are produced on a 2bbl system with 4bbl fermenters. The idea was to make beers to complement their pho recipes. I think the concept is enough to get excited about. We look forward to seeing the beer program grow and match the deliciousness coming from that kitchen these days.
