From Steakhouse to Culture Hub:$5M Black Woman-Owned Brewery and Creole Restaurant Honors JuiceWRLD in Homewood

Homewood Brewing Company

The story here in some circles was that the family of JuiceWRLD, one of most popular artists in Spotify history was opening a brewery. To be fair I still don’t quite understand how this particular vision developed but stepping in the space you feel how important it is to everyone involved.

Brewmaster Cam Horn is playing no games as the tap list is extensive, balanced and quite delicious. Cam spent 7yrs at Elmhurst Brewing Company before making the move to Homewood.

Our visit didn’t include eats but damn if we didn’t take a long glance at every dish leaving the kitchen. On the beer front. We took four house beers for a spin and will for sure be making a return trip.

Carmella Wallace and her son Brian are running the show in this massive space rumored to be a $5M passion project brought to life by The Linden Group. The team behind the insane Three Floyds Distillery in Munster, IN.

This site was the old Bogart’s Steakhouse before it was demolished in 2021. Now the natural light, vaulted ceilings and ample parking make it a perfect space to host any event.
